Design System Experience

As a healthtech company, LifeOmic made the decission to create their own design system. Part of this was because of FedRamp security reasons, and part of it was because of the tricky healthtech space it lives in. With a multitude of use cases, from tech, medicine, design and consumer/patient.

My role

As a member of a multidisciplinary design team comprising five designers, I played a pivotal role in developing our comprehensive design system. Alongside contributing to the design system elements, my specific responsibility was to maintain and update our Figma File—an extensive resource used by the entire team to design all LifeOmic products, including four to five desktop applications and two mobile apps.

Central to my role was conducting usability tests on new elements, crafting components in Figma, and ensuring that any updates made would seamlessly integrate with existing layouts across all products. This involved meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of design elements within our ecosystem.
